My understanding is that the MPe only supports dual processors in conjunction with the XLR8 Velocity card. And XLR8 never seemed to get to the point where they actually released the Velocity card. Apparently the Velocity was a dual CPU ZIF adapter. In other words, it was designed to plug into a ZIF socket and provide space for two G4s. So it was meant for the Beige, the B & W and to go in ZIF Carrier cards. For our machines, one would need the Carrier MPe under the Velocity card.
