Following the general opinion of the List, I invested in an ATA 66 card and
an IBM 80 gig drive but I am cnfused by the Master and Slave options on the
back of the IBM ,and the other distinctions, the Device O, Device 1, the
Cable Select, Forcing DEV. 1, present, Auto Spin Disable, and the 15 heads
verses 32 GB clip rows. Can anyone enlighten this novice?
If one is leaving space on a new hard drive for an eventual installation of
OSX either on an S-900 or an Mac 8500 (my other machine) how many
partitions and of what sizes should one use?
