Yea, the deposit is refunded if you return your old card to them within 10 days. I don't think is really that good of a deal. Math:
$79 + $50 = $129 + $20 S&H = $149 - $50 rebate =$99 + $10 (on average for shipping of old card) = $109 Cheaper, but for $117 +6 = $123, it is less out of pocket initially, and not much difference, plus I've got my old card to use for a second monitor. Lets not forget that under OSX, unless you have Jaguar or the 10.1.5 install CD, you will need your old card to get OSX up and running.
