One of my aol cd's served a very useful purpose for a couple of years. You see, my TV sits behind me in the room and sometimes I like to watch it while working on the desktop. So I use my document holder, which was then mounted to my c600, and now to my s900, and basically clipped the cd to it to provide a mirror image of the screen. Of course everything is backwards but that's ok. The only thing is, the aol disks had to be the older ones with a perfectly shiny finish, the newer ones don't work.
But now I simply use a platter out of a dead hard drive. Slightly smaller than a cd but has a perfect mirror image w/o distortion. When needed, they also serve as a perfect mirror to view behind the tower. Of course I guess in a rescue situation, they would be a perfect signaling mirror due to the hole in the middle to provide line of sight. Let's see, what else? I sure hope this posts because I am one of the victims who for unknown reasons cannot post to the swap list. Something that has never happened before to me, but it does look like some people are coming back on line so maybe I will be next.
