Since the Ethernet option has appeared, I doubt that you will need any drivers. Most Asante cards can just use the Apple drivers. This has usually been the case for years.
As for the practicality, depends on what you want to do. If you want to just share a broadband internet connection, it isn't a problem. If you want to share files, then things get a little trickier. In order to share files between the two you will need either (just one not both) Dave <www.thursbysystems.com> installed on the Mac or PC-Mac LAN <www.miramar.com> installed on the PC.
