It can definitely be done. Is it the decoder chipset from the Rage 128 card? If so, or if you're putting the Rage card into your S900, then all you need is an Apple supported DVD ROM or combo drive. You can use a non-supported drive, but you'll need a hacked version of Apple's DVD Player software to use such a drive. You may also need to run a hack on the Apple CD/DVD Driver. Both hacks are available on the OS9Forever website, though they can also be had via Hotline or Limewire (gnutella). I believe, with the ATI chipset and a suported drive, OS X DVD playback is already supported, but don't take my word for it. I'm currently using a Radeon with a non-supported LG combo drive. However, rather than using the hacked version of the driver, the INIT installed by SAI's DVD RAM Tune-Up software, which I use for a Toshiba SCSI DVD RAM, also supports playback on th LG. Kind of odd, though, becasue it doesen't support playback via the DVD RAM drive, only burning. Well, that's the long answer, but I hope it helps.
