It's "unsupported" with a s900, if that matters to you.
It won't even install on a s900, much less boot, without hacks, except in
"Blue Box," that is running in Classic mode under OS X.

Primarily, improved interaction with OS X.

These all have been demonstrated under OS X. I've seen nothing to support
this OMM. YMMV.

See above.

You'll get many opinons on this. They're all true.

I prefer the path of least resistance. There are a number of extensions from
the updates which greatly improve function and stability, most notably
CarbonLib version 1.6 [so far, every application that claims to require OS
9.2.2 runs fine so long as CarbonLib is up to date], FireWire Enabler and
FireWire Support version 2.8.7, and the USB group of extensions with the
corresponding HID Library. This last part is a little tricky, since you have
to go back to 1.4.1 to get support for PCI USB cards, then carefully upgrade
the rest as a group; the extensions must match the version of the library.

The result has been zero conflict related crashes. I recently experienced
the first freeze in over 9 months, and that was due to a corrupted
preference file which I had forgotten to trash while updating an
application. YMMV.
