Olli-Matti, just a thought. You don't still have the E100 (combined ethernet 100 and UWSCSI) card installed and running SCSI devices do you? I have found this causes the computer to freeze just after startup in either OS9 or OSX, when and only when there is a full 1GB RAM (all 8 slots filled with 128MB). If so try pulling one RAM stick and/or disconnecting any devices connected to the E100 (better still pull the E100 card). I meant to report this in the past, as a solution to a problem I was having with one S900 and not with another S900, both with a full 1GB RAM- but was waiting until I got round to troubleshooting it more- time constraints with the real world meant that didn't happen.
