Howdy, Gary -

Although I'm familiar with the mechanics of networking from several
years ago, X is Latin to me besides having played around with a friend's
new i-Book recently. Only potential hiccup I forsee is buying a
100-baseT or faster card for the S900 that will work without any
complications under 9.1 as well as X and how to deal with the built-in
10-baseT afterwards. (Did you run into any of this on your setup ?)

Your note is reassuring because this will allow the S900 to function
as-is until it becomes absolutely necessary
to update to X after I become familiar with it on a new machine.
The recent thread on microphone inputs has reenforced my need to delay
migrating to X.

Thanks again,

Alan
