Yes, I did ugrade via Software update. I'm not sure, but I believe the
original CD is 10.2.2 (the CP offered me the 10.2.4 combo upgrade,which
includes 10.2.3).
For the first installation, I used the defaults, but deselected all the
foreign languages, just kept English and German.
What were the issues Macfixit reported? Do you think I should download the
update again?
