The machine is booted from a floppy is DOS. I get the prompt and all that. It's a 200 mHz Pl .... the only real PC I have that isn't too ancient ... with 64 megs of RAM. It has Windows ME on it, but we altered the bios to start from the floppy so I know we aren't booting from anything else. Please tell me you have the Sapphire Video crd installed in an PC machine which runs Windows and have booted into Dos to run the ROM Flasher from the PC formated floppy you made????? You aren't trying to do the flash on the Mac are you?
I get a little worried when I see people veering off into left field with this talk of Going to ATI site to look for info on running flashers..... Will S
PS things will I hope seem a bit clearer after sleep
The reason I mentioned going to ATI is that I had the impression the that the company issued firmware updates and might have an FAQ about technique. As you said, I'm obviously missing something basic to get the same error over and over. At least I'm consistent. 8^)
I've done firmware of Macs before and had no trouble. This is not a Mac. I'm a bit bewildered.
