Hi Will As a newbie who just purchased some RAM for her C500...( 2 64mb sticks) you are right, it is confusing. Based on advice from the list and low-end mac, I chose EDO 2k refresh rate...but I read the other argument, too. You know, I was impatient and bought some cheap RAM off eBay..not even sure of the brand. Hope it will be OK. It does say lifetime warranty. ;o) I didn't want to spend more on the memory upgrade than I spent on the computer! And what the heck is composite memory? I was warned not to buy that, but I don't even know what it is. My memory seems to work fine. Funny when I doubled the RAM on my "other computer", it booted up real fast like it just had 10 cups of coffee. My C500 takes a long time to boot up now...but I was told that's normal.
