As a newbie who just purchased some RAM for her
C500...( 2 64mb sticks) you are right, it is
confusing. Based on advice from the list and low-end
mac, I chose EDO 2k refresh rate...but I read the
other argument, too. You know, I was impatient and
bought some cheap RAM off eBay..not even sure of the
brand. Hope it will be OK. It does say lifetime
warranty. ;o) I didn't want to spend more on the
memory upgrade than I spent on the computer!
And what the heck is composite memory? I was warned
not to buy that, but I don't even know what it is.
My memory seems to work fine. Funny when I doubled the
RAM on my "other computer", it booted up real fast
like it just had 10 cups of coffee. My C500 takes a
long time to boot up now...but I was told that's
normal.
