Hello,

I'm almost sure this has been covered before on the list, but I can't find
it anywhere in the archives...

I'm installing OS9.1 on a partition of my hard drive (upgraded from the
original, it's now a 4GB drive -- I can't remember the brand, does that
matter?). I have OS9.0 working fine on the other partition.

All I have done so far with my OS9.1 partition is to install all the System
software (including driver updates) and nothing else. I can't get the
computer to boot up from this new system folder. I noticed in my OS9.0
System folder that I have the original FWB hard disc drivers in the
Extensions folder and everything works fine on this side.

Questions:
1) Do I need FWB drivers?
2) Should I get an updated version of FWB?
3) Did I make a mistake by letting the installer update/install the Apple
driver updaters?
4) How can I get my new OS9.1 partition to boot?

I have a C500 with a G3/400 upgrade card and Keyspan USB PCI card (no
extensions installed to use these yet in the OS9.1 partition). I upgraded
the hard drive to a 4GB but can't remember the brand. I'm installing OS9.1
on a separate existin partition so I don't make my computer totally useless.
Also, I still can't get my LaCie USB CD-R to work, so I haven't been able to
back up my files so that's another reason I'm working on a separate
partition. I'm hoping this new system will get the CD-R working again.

Thanks for any help,
Eric
