Not really. This is one reason why I use Hotmail for my "junk mail" type
stuff. Not that this list is "junk" of course, it's just that I never give
out my real email address. I use this address for all my "public" stuff.
I average about 1 email a week to my real, ISP address. No spam, no
viruses.

With Hotmail, attachments don't come down to your computer until you
expressly tell it to do so. I have this PCI PowerMacs Digest #1013 message
in my inbox right now. I probably got the others too, but I never paid any
attention to them and just deleted them.

Anyways, just wanted to point out that Windows can be safe, if you use some
common sense. Successful email-type viruses are the result of Social
Engineering, not Software Engineering. They are due to people being
tricked into launching an attachment, because they think they know who it's
from and therefore trust it. If I can get you to run my executable, then it
doesn't matter what OS you are running. I will own your system.

Dan -- running Windows 2000, XP and Server 2003 and virus free!
