Hi, sorry for asking a question that isn't a SuperMac-problem!!! But, over the last year, this list seems to be a well-known-to-everything-list to me, so I dare it...
After bringing my old C500 to my school (where it does a fine job!), I think about speeding up my home computer, a G3 b&w. It's fast enough for OS 9.2.2 but with OS X the limitations are obvious. Configuration: G3 b&w, ATI Rage 128 (16 MB memory) 350 MHz "thrilled" to 400 MHz by reconfigurating the jumpers OS 9.2.2/X.2.4. The only possibility to speed up my machine I found was the one by sonnet. G4 at 500 Mhz (zif). Does anyone of you know another hardware speedup to "hurry-up" my machine? Giving 350 for an advantage of 400 to 500 and G3 to G4 seems not very lucky to me. Thanks for all hints!
