Hi Alan, Something I found valuable was screen shots. With your computer connected to the web, via your DSL modem, go into the Control Panels and take screen shots of various settings. I found that useful in setting up subsequent machines on our system. Something else I found useful, after getting the Router set up was Symantec's Security Check. Granted it is not the "all powerful" security checker they imply, but it will let you know if you accidentally left a port unguarded.
