Hi kp

Yes you can install very easily. Get a copy of "OS 9 Helper 1.Ob7".
Someone on the list can give you the URL-I'm in OS 10 now and don't
have access to the disk with that info. Also go to apple.com and
download OS 9.2.1 Update.smi and OS 9.2.2 Update.smi. you have to
follow the instructions that come with OS 9 Helper exactly. I did this
because I was hesitating about trying the Jaguar install. I had been
running 9.2.2 for a while. It seems very stable. If you decide to go to
10 there is a little detail that I had forgot and struggled with until
remembered... If you boot into 10 and boot back into 9.2 and want to go
to 10 again... XPostFacto won't work. You will probable crash. You have
to be in 9.1 to use XPostFacto (if that's what you use to install 10).
So, save a copy of 9.1 or if you're going to install 10 you probably
don't need to bother with 9.2: although, it is nice.
