I installed 9.2 for the Radeon card too. I had no trouble with it till 
the 10.2 install. Someone had suggested that the fire wire inits in 9.2 
might be the problem and since I don't use firewire I disabled them-all 
except for the Quicktime Firewire support.  It didn't prevent the 
freezes when attempting to reboot into X. While X works well for me, I 
did lose my scanner, the internal OEM 2GB drive and the 18GB drive 
connected to my ATTO Ultra. Until I work that out I have to go back 
into 9.1 or 9.2 to do my work. I don't know what the 9.2 problem is but 
I will boot into it and rebuild the desktop. I appreciate the info and 
will report back tomorrow.
