Hi Bolton,

Have you tried starting up with extensions disabled.  It might be 
something flaky that is loading from the extensions folder.  Most 
non-Apple items that display in the Menu Bar are INITs, like Palm 
Desktop, many scanners, etc.

Also take a look in your preferences folder for anything that places an 
accessory in the menu bar.  You might try dragging preferences for 
things that display in the Menu Bar to the trash.  Dragging the 
Finder's preferences to the trash might help too.  You probably know 
this, but just in case, restart the computer after dragging preferences 
to the trash.  Then empty the trash after you have rebooted.

Also try rebuilding your Desktop.  If you have Disk Warrior, run it!
