You probably got stuck with an 80 pin SCA drive. Send it back if you can. The 80 pin drives are not worth the hassle. You can buy adapters for them, even high quality adapters, but the nature of such an adapter leads to termination issues unless you are very conversant with SCSI termination. If it will be the only drive on the SCSI chain, you can just enable termination, put it at the end of the chain, and it will probably work.
