I am using Internet Explorer 5.1.6 (I.E.) and Microsoft Entourage 2001 ver. 9.0.2. with Mac OS 9.2.2.
I like Entourage, but it is not free. Works well and has LOTS of features that I use that are NOT available in Outlook Express 5.0.6 (O.E.). (Calendar, Task List, Notes [think of it as a not so full features of the Palm Desktop - and yes it does import the palm addresses.]) I definitely like the address book, plus linking it with the calendar option with people's birthday reminders is awesome! IE and OE are separate programs and require separate downloads. Both are available at the mactopia site: http://www.microsoft.com/mac/default.asp I have noticed that IE is a tad sluggish with sites that have a lot of java or javascript/Jscript. Example: I was checking out the Volkswagen site and it just took forever for pages to load! I've also got DSL. I was having IE store the cache on a separate HD on my internal ATA IDE chain (on a older drive) I'm switching it to my 100GB IDE 10K Cheetah to see it that helps. If not I may have to switch it to the SCSI start up drive. I am running the IE program off the 100GB drive. IE is running with 45 megs allocated RAM size. I'm not sure what the slowdown may have to do with just yet. Maybe I just need to break down and get that G4 upgrade card...
