Just to add an opinion- I had been using Netscape 4.8. When I upgraded
to Jaguar I downloaded the 7.02 version for OS 10. I also have been
playing with Mozilla, IE, Camino (another Mozilla build), Opera and
Safari- both very fast among the group. All of these are for OS 10. The
emailer that comes with 10 is excellent, full featured, almost like
Eudora, but unfortunately without the filter creating ability- it's
"automatic". Netscape seems to run faster in 10 than it did in 9.x.
Mozilla has more controls. I think you mentioned that you have broad
band now. A separate email client may work well for you. You can set it
to retrieve mail every 10 minutes, for example. and that continuous
activity may help keep you on line without those shutdowns. Just a
possibility. I have a cable modem and don't suffer that. Sorry for the
OT.
