There are no changes in volume structure per se that DW version 2.x can't
handle. It won't repair one of the more common problems, improper file and
folder permissions, but that's what Apple made Drive Utility for.

Drive optimization is another issue. There are quite a few files that need
to remain "anchored" and "untouched" that just don't exist in OS 9 or
earlier, so I would avoid using any disk optimizer or defragmenter not
specifically designed for OS X.
