If you have a flat blade of some sort, like feeler gauges for setting
the gap on various engine parts or *anything* along those lines, slip it
under that curved piece. Then finesse the top off. Strength won't do it.
It'll take some mechanical help.
I'm a small woman -- 5'2", 105 lbs. I'm a carpenter, welder and ranch
wife. And damned good at all of them, because I've learned how to use
leverage tricks and always find the easiest way to do a job. I'm old now
(47) and have trouble trying to dead-lift my own weight anymore, unless
it's a dying calf that I *have to* move, to keep it from dying.
Get some help, even if you have to give a neighbor kid $5 to stand there
and hold the case for you or bribe your upstairs neighbor with a beer.
You can do this, Sybil. No excuses.
