Hi All.
Would anyone know if it is possible to replace pins on a scsi connector? I have a scsi CDRW that has two pins that are damaged and I was wondering if the pins could be replaced. It had been working fine but was moved to another machine and somehow the pins got either broken or pulled off. I do have an external one but don't know if this could be taken out of the case and used internally. I really dislike the idea of throwing away the other drive if it could be fixed. Any ideas gratefully accepted.
Many Thanks
Jacqueline

If you're talking about damage to an external case, the easiest thing would be to find a used case somewhere, although removing the external connectors and data cable inside shouldn't be that hard. It's probably a standard ribbon cable with 2 connectors an inch or so apart. The connectors either bolt or rivet onto the case. If the drive itself has a damaged connector, I would think it would require some fancy soldering technique. Probably cheaper to replace the drive with an internal PC CDRW if your clone has an IDE bus.
