I think you're referring to xlr8yourmac.com. There should be if not outright directions, indications of how it might be done. Sometimes someone will have already done the hack for you (they have a searchable database.)


However,
Toast 5.2 times-out with an error

That's a more serious issue, especially if the burner is supported by Toast. Assuming it's supported, tackle this one first (i.e. getting it to work shouldn't involve a hack if supported) before worrying about Disk Copy/iTunes support. Search on roxio's site for any info about the burner.


Or, it might just be a Firewire issue. If you have a spare IDE HD put it in the CDRW case and see if it works, as a test.
