One or the other, not both. Good luck locating a CacheDoubler or a 1 MB L2 cache. At my last job, I picked up a CacheDoubler and 240 MHz CPU on clearance and installed them in a C500/200. Benchmarks posted at <http://lowendmac.com/benchmarks/c500.shtml> Pulling the 256K L2 cache and dropping in the CacheDoubler boosted 240 MHz performance from 293 to 462, a 57% improvement under MacBench 5.0. It was definitely worth the $9 investment, and I wish I'd picked up a second, since I later acquired a SuperMac C600. -- Dan Knight, president, Cobweb Publishing, Inc. <http://cobwebpublishing.com> <http://lowendmac.com> <http://digital-views.com> <http://digigraphica.com> <http://lowendpc.com> <http://reformed.net> In a world without walls or fences, who needs windows or gates? -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
