I had that problem on two computers, my PowerBook G4 and a tray loading iMac 333. My S900 was the first Mac I tried it in that could read it, although it wouldn't boot from it (probably due to an incompatible video card, but I didn't investigate further). Problem solved on the PowerBook by booting into OS 9 and reinstalling the firmware upgrade on the DVD-ROM drive. Solved on the iMac by using a CD drive cleaner. Suggest you pick up a CD-ROM drive cleaning disc at your local Wal-Mart, Meijer, music shop, etc. and see if that helps. -- Dan Knight, president, Cobweb Publishing, Inc. <http://cobwebpublishing.com> <http://lowendmac.com> <http://digital-views.com> <http://digigraphica.com> <http://lowendpc.com> <http://reformed.net> Please have your pet peeves spayed or neutered. -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
