Well, it can affect your Mac if your e-mail address gets harvested from
a PC....getting bombarded with mysterious messages is maybe worse then
the computer getting corrupted by a virus. To me, Klez is the most
insidious and annoying virus ever.
I was inundated with junk messages when my address got harvested from a
PC of a auto newsgroup participant.
No way I could figure out from which one and not worth the trouble.
Only way I stopped it is when I switched ISP during the course of
changing to DSL.
After three months of zero junkmail, the occasional SPAM is beginning to
trickle in, averaging maybe one every other day.
I read more then a handful of suggestions on how to avoid trouble from
Klez, but as usual I haven't taken any extra precautions...
