Yes, HDST can do the non-destructive partition, but you do run a risk of
losing your data. In order for it to be done, you must first use a Utility
(such as Norton SpeedDisk, park of Norton Utilities) to orgranize all your
data into one continuous block. If you have data scattered around the
drive, it won't be able to partition it.
Also, it is worth mentioning that HDST is known to be rather incompatible
with OSX. I think the newer verions will work, but it has been most
peoples experiance that HDST is one of those Microsoftish programs that
require you to update it (as a price) evertime the OS changes.

Robyn, I believe you are mixing up HDST by Intech with FWB's Hard disk tools. The names are nearly the same ;-) FWB is the company that has the software that needs an upgrade with every small updated Mac OS and charges for them. It does I believe do what the man is asking for if you have the correct version for the Mac OS you are using. Intech's hard disk speed tools is a great piece of software and has free upgrades for life! It does let you switch IDE drives from a PCI card which see the drive as SCSI to using as a real ide drive and back again without losing data but I'm not sure if it also let you redo partitions. Someone could go to the website and find out ;-) Will S
