Hi there, me again. I have a line on an "XLR8 ZIF Carrier, and ZIF
processor." I'm told that "the carrier allows for using your choice of ZIF
G3 or G4 up to about 600 MHz. It is usable in most clones, including the
C500." My source continues, "I will include a 266 MHz G3 processor, which
runs at 300 MHz in most machines." Asking price is $75 shipped.

Unfortunately I know nothing about this. What I'm trying to do is squeeze
whatever speed I can out of my c500 on 8.6 with 144 MB RAM without getting a
new computer which is financially beyond me.

What would this do for me, and how does it compare to a Sonnet Crescendo
G3/300 (or even 400?) MHZ in-line card? I have figured out that the 1 MB
cache expansion is essentially not available anymore, and the Cache Doubler
80 may be too, I dunno.

Sorry to be so hardware-challenged...
