As far as I know it is not possible to use the SDR RAM cards in a Mac. I've gone back and read the last 3 months of the german forum just to see if there is any new info. No mention of using SDR ram cards in a Mac. It was made clear early on these wouldn't work. I will be happy to change this statement if new info arrives about it.
Another point -5 (50ns) Video ram or faster is fine for using the full Mac flasher program. The 166 MHz flasher file was made for a few cards that have -6 (60 ns) Video ram. There is even a slower file 143 mHz I think. Almost no one needs to use these files.
In general I have found failure with flashing the cards is either user error(which includes not following instructions or perhaps not having any to follow ;-) ) or a problem with the PC being used to flash the card. It is also clear that many different files have been posted in different places some of which are nearly worthless. Will S
