Hello Listers, It's been sometime since my last post, I've been fortunate to have 2 "stable" S900's running well for sometime now, but all good things come to an end I guess...
Here's my problem, my #2 machine which is primarily running OSX 10.2.5 has recently quit running, a bad Seagate 80gig drive has failed, not sure what the problem is eccept that it is making some very strange sounds as I try to boot the machine, I suspect the drive might be "lost" at this point, but let me "jump" ahead, I've installed a new Western Digital 80gig ATA in this machine and have installed using my Yamaha 2100S CDRW (Bus 0) as opposed to the old Mashita, I started with 10.2 from the install Disks and booted from Xpostfacto (verbose mode) successfully. Here's my problem...the machine will not boot back to OS9 from OSX's "startup" pref what happens is I get the Mac "Happy face" Icon the screen goes "Black" and it re-boots on its own and back to OSX, but now it won't even do that after zapping the PRAM. Anyone have any thoughts on this and a solution? Thank-You as always. Phillip Meza -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
