    Thanks to Eric and Gary for their ideas for getting my 10.2 fixed on
my "new" S900.  I was able to use a combination of Disk Warrior and
Norton to get it up and going.
    I am considering reformatting this drive for 10.2 anyway, just go
get a clean start.  I searched the archives for info on this that I saw
a year or 2 ago, but couldn't find it.  Is this a very complicated
process, installing OS X on an S900?  As I recall, there were some bugs
that required the better minds on this list to figure out.

It is not very complicated to install OS X on an S900. Have a look at:

Sometimes it is a little chancy. You may have to mess with the 
"throttle" value in XPostFacto (XPF) or may have to run XPF several 
times. The above link lets you download XPF and gives you all the 
instructions. The basic idea is:
	- boot into OS 9
	- run XPostFacto
	- use the pulldown menus to choose your Jaguar install CD as "input"
	- choose your intended hard disk volume as "output"
	- the first time through, set throttle to "7" or higher

Once OS X is installed, it should simply come up when you reboot. If 
you have trouble or have to boot into OS 9, then you will rerun XPF 
from OS 9, simply specifying the OS X volume (no CD needed). I don't 
know if this is what you were asking, but hope it helps. Good luck.
