Hello, I have an S900 system running OS 9.1. Until recently I had a FWB Jackhammer SCSI card in slot 2, that worked fine with external drives, and internal drives connected via the 50 way connector.
I recently purchased a 18GB LVD drive that I wanted to connect to the internal high density 68 pin connector. This is where the problems started. I tried all sorts of combinations and downloaded extensions and control panels for this card in the hope that these would help. Nothing worked. Whats worse is now I cant use the card at all, as with it installed the computer never makes it past an initial grey screen. Tried zapping PRAM, r4esetting CUDA but no success. I would like to get the card working as it was before but I suspect I may have changed the ROM. Every time I started the jackhammer control panel (1.4.5) whilst the card was working, it would inform me that the ROM needed upgrading and that would happen on next restart. So to get into the system I have to remove the card. I cannot boot with the card installed so I cannot see hopw to get the card back to how it was if I cannot start the machine with it installed.
