I have a c600 with a G3 280 and 80MB RAM running OS 9.1 that I am getting ready to donate to a school group that mainly needs it for a DSL connection.
It has an included ethernet card (10 baseT) that shows up under the system profiler. However the lights on back do not light up nor can I get onto our network. I installed the Asante NIC driver that I found on the original SuperMac OS 8.1 CD. Do I need a more current driver than that and if so, where would I find one? The only ones I could find at the Asante web site are for 10/100 cards.
Hi Sara,
Sorry for the slow response (I am in retail, so I work Saturdays)
Your set up sound really close to our C600. I went through the same problem when we decided to hook our machines up to DSL. Thanks to Pastor Mac I found a couple of possibilities on Asante's web site. One of them worked for us. I will send it to your off-list shortly.
