Hi Everyone,

First I want to thank everyone for helping me with my
IE download problem. (No more grinding sounds)
Thankfully that's been corrected.

Now an easier problem, but one that I cannot solve.

It seems that when I go to File>Control Panels>Sound,
I can't for the life of me record an alert sound under
alerts. Something that I could do before, without any
problems. When I try to record a sound and play it back
I get no sound at all.

Have checked the obvious possibilities, like mute box
not checked off etc. Also, I went to "help" under sound
and followed all the instructions and I still can't record a sound.
However, I can still hear the list of alerts in sound, if I click on them
separately.

My sound works perfectly, if I'm trying to listen to an internet radio
station using Real Player. Also, I get a normal alert sound for usual
computer tasks.

Can somebody give me any ideas? I think it must be something that I haven't
configured properly.

Sincerely,

Ruzya
