Just read the news about the Japan/China/Korea alliance to promote
increased development and use of non-Windows OS such as Linux.
Are any Supermac listers tinkering with Linux ?
Is this a lanuage that can function productively on our machines ?
I've been interested in learning the language if for nothing else just
to see another OS run on the S900.

Thanks for any feedback.

Alan

Alan, Aren't you the guy still running OS 9.x and worried OSX maybe just to hard to install etc? ;-) If so don' even dream of installing Linux on your machine. I ran Linux PPC (and Susie PPC) for a couple of years on mine and it ran great. But it was like starting over and everything you knew was wrong. Also in the early days there were no apps from Mac nor Windows that could be ran on the machine. So every program and app was a Linux or UNIX only app that has a learning curve. OSX was so much easier to learn and there were familiar apps and programs that ran. So Linux got dumped real quick once I saw how great OSX was and is. It is my opinion that Linux is not ever going to be any more main stream then it is now ;-) It's just too hard to install and learn. ;-) Will S
