I mistakenly had the opinion that TTP would perform that function in it's suite
of tools. But apparently that is not so. However thanks to you guys for putting
me straight.
Tech Tool Pro does have a "Rebuild the Desktop" function. It's just not that easy to find, IMO. Actually, I find where they put it to be downright cryptic.
Okay, maybe not so cryptic. There's an item in the "Navigation" window called "Desktop". If you double click on it, you get the options to manipulate the desktop including "Delete/Rebuild". For some reason, I always have a hard time scrolling down far enough to see that option. I get distracted by "files" and "drives" and such before I get that far.
