The screws that mount in the lower drive bay are indeed 1" long - my s900 with 4 drives is currently undergoing severe drive swapping and rearranging as I attempt to figure out why Open Firmware can open certain drives and not others......


Jeff - If you see this - any ideas on why Open Firmware can load software directly off of certain IBM HDs and not others? How much firmware does a HD have on it? Partitions and filesystems are identical (msdos/vfat), but OF will only load the executable off of the older UW server drives. Works off of either internal bus, but only with the UW drives.
