Will, I think the Beige G3's IDE is actually 16.67 MB/s. I was hoping it was 33, but I tested it several months ago and remember being disappointed to find it rather slow by today's standards. It's actually not difficult to find hard drives whose real world performance is faster than the IDE bus on the G3.
