Mark, I use Dayna products mostly, and have several.
In fact I buy them and the Asante products whenever I
see them for the right price ... generally 20 bucks or
less. I'm down to having just 2 printers hooked up
right now, a LaserWriter 4/600, and an ImageWriter II.
My other printers are USB or network ready.

They are not all created the same. Some allow only 2
devices, while others (like the Dayna Mini
EtherPrint)allow as many as eigth. The suffix "3" or
"T" have to do with the kind of connections to the
network that are supported. "T" means a 10baseT
connector - "3" means it has all 3 - BNC, 10BaseT and
AUI.

As far as Daynas go, the plastic boxes may be better
and are at least more recent versions. You should be
able to find them on eBay for 20-30 bucks if you are
not in a hurry, or at least that's what they were last
time I checked. You should try to get them with power
supplies as you could pay $15-20 at Radio Shack for a
new one. A recycler may have them for a lot less.

I just checked (search for "etherprint")and there's
one at eBay right now starting for $9.99.

No bids yet. Expires in less than 2 days. It has a
power supply and an AppleTalk cable for hooking up one
device. You'll need phone net adapters to hook up more
than that. He includes a link (Intel bought them a
while back.)to get software which is nice but
unnecessary. You might ask if he is the original owner
and what the unit's password is if it's been
protected, but this isn't important either unless you
want to use it on a large network and want to keep
people from using all your paper. 8^)

If you can't find one you want, I've got an EtherPrint
-T (probably 2 device suport with 10BaseT and AUI
connectors) with no power or cables I'll sell for $15
+ shipping. You'll need a .8 amp 12 volt power supply
and phone net cables.

For the rest of the list: I have two Shiva products, a
NetBridge and a TeleBridge. This last appears to be a
serial (mini 8) to AppleTalk bridge, but I don't know
how to make it do its thing (or why I'd want to given
that a Mac's serial port can be "told" to do AppleTalk
anyway), if it needs software, or what kind of power
supply is needed. The NetBridge has what appears to be
two serial ports based on the "double arrow" sticker
next to the ports. Don't have a clue what it does.
Anyone have these of these out there?
