Jacqueline,

1. Boot with extensions off
2. Open up Extensions Manager and turn off all
QuickTime extensions.
3. Boot up the machine

4a. If it doesn't boot ok, then it's not QT. 
4b. If it boots fine, go back into Extensions Manager
and turn on QuickTime extensions one at a time, (try
activating the main QT extension first), while
rebooting between each QT extension you activate.

You should be able to locate the QT extension that is
giving you the trouble, if that is the problem.

On my machine, there's also a QuickTime folder in the
Extensions folder. You might want to try moving QT
extensions out of that folder one at a time as a last
resort if QT is the offending problem.
