I have a new PowerLogix 900MHz ZIF upgrade and a XLR8 CarrierZIF that boot up my

like to bring the core speed up to something more appropriate for the upgrade.
Unfortunately, CPU Director 1.3f locks up my machine whenever I try to open it.
I've put its extension in the Extensions folder, and tried it with the Cache
Control extension installed w/ motherboard cache on, installed w/ motherboard
cache off, and uninstalled, and nothing seems to work. Any suggestions or known
conflicts? I'm using MacOS 9.2.2 installed w/ OS9Helper.

Hi Drew, Just caught your post, What is the machine speed reported by the Apple
System Profiler. Phillip

Hello Drew/Listers, I was hoping someone might indulge me, the post above "my S900 is
just fine and fairly snappy at 250Mhz core/50Mhz bus, but I'd really like to bring the speed
up to something more appropriate for the upgrade" I'm very interested in the "beyond 500"
Zif upgrades and the success/performance that they may bring, what is the G3 clocking?
and the reference is to the G3 Zif, right? and what are your impressions of the processor?
as always...Thank You, Phillip
