I'm looking for a way to upgrade the memory on my Umax C500/180 beyond the

Sorry, 144 MB is the true limit. Trust us here.

Also looking for a network card that would work?

Most any 10/100 card with a Mac driver will work. Asante is a very Mac friendly provider or a card with the Realtek 8139 chipset.
