Hey folks,
I'm looking for a way to upgrade the memory on my Umax C500/180 beyond the 144 MB limit - any suggestions? Should I just get rid of it (is it worth the trouble)?
It can't be done. At least, not without essentially rebuilding the motherboard.
The memory addressing modes supported on the DIMM sockets just won't address more than 64 MB per slot. Hmmm. It might be possible to increase the soldered down RAM from 16 MB to 64 MB, but even that would require serious soldering.
