Hi all, I have a S900 connected to a hub, which is connected to a cable modem. I have a machine I am loaning that I would also like to connect to the net. It has OSX 10.3 on it. I connected an ethernet cable from it to the hub and hoped it would magically work, alas no.
What I dont understand is that the main machine (S900) uses DHCP to get a TCP/IP address. What TCP/IP address will the OSX machine use. I tried setting the TCP/IP setting to DHCP and got some weird IP address which didnt seem to be associated with the main machines IP address. The provider (OPTUS) will allocate a single TCP/IP address, so what hapens to the other machine? Nevertheless no internet connection. THought that this would be easier with OSX? ANy help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks GregGIannis -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
