Mac OS 9.1 is the minimum that is supported, but pillaging the Open GL support files from 9.2 is better.
I believe it is viable under OS X, but another video card might be needed during installation.
No, the Radeon 7000 is totally supported by OS X. It works during installation and subsequent use just fine. I have 2 here, both converted PC versions: an ATI 32 meg card and a PowerColor 64 meg card. The ATI card is in an S900, the PowerColor is in a B&W G4. Both are running 10.3.2.
