I had problems with my original Orange Micro FW card too, but that was
before I had the FW drive (just using it for video capture to
internal/external SCSI) - it wouldn't surprise me a bit. I've been using a
VST (which bit the dust due to a power zap) and recently an ADS Dual Link
without issues.

This problem has only cropped up since moving it to a machine loaded with
Panther - my drive had worked fine previously.
