Thanks for the Attachment info, Kim. What I seem to be getting is after I select a file to attach, 
the name of my HD and the word desktop  get attached to the file. Why? If I knew I'd change the 
setting. It never used to be this way so I must have reset something incorrectly. You've zeroed in 
on the problem- maybe a suggested setting in Mail & Newsgroups  and or Preferences will come from 
the group. Netscape 7.01 or Mozilla users?  Paul
